What makes you happy as designers?

What would you have done if you hadn’t be come a designer?

Happyness to me is the idea that starts with a design sheet and becomes reality

Strange as it may seem, I’d have become a doctor!

Designed by Lorenzo Remedi, the Brera Collection breaks away from the more classic forms: no longer just furniture or sofas but unencumbered, modular and repositionable design objects

What do you consider to be essential when choosing the perfect furniture?

The Brera Collection includes numerous items, not just sofas and armchairs but an entire furniture line that furnishes the home with elegance and funcionality.
The design must incorporate all the functional and ergonomic features required by the user in the perfect furniture without, however, ignoring the choise of materials, finishes and attention to details.

Where do you draw inspiration from?

Nature and its organic forms have always been an excellent starting point for keeping a balance in proportions and colour combinations. The signature leg, as for instance, is inspired by bamboo canes, that symbolise lightness and strength.

What are the three essential qualities for a good design?

The aesthetics and functionality plus the price, given the current climate

The Brera Collection does include also items designed for the bedroom, such as the Brera dressing table that has a more feminine look, and the Desk with its more minimalist design making it ideal for the working from home

What is the ideal home style for these two pieces of furniture?
The idea was to create items with a classic, understated style that could be placed in different home settings, not influenced by changing fashions

Is there a specific piece of furniture in the Brera Collection that you are particularly fond of and you are most excited about?

The Brera Glass Cabinet was undoubtedly the most complex from a design point of view, so involved the greatest effort in achieving an aesthetically pleasing result
